I love black & white photographs. I love that it takes away all the colorful distractions and allows you to focus on the subject matter at hand. It leaves you with breath taking, beautiful images that tell a deep and meaningful story.
I may have cried when I got these scans back. They are everything I hope for when shooting a birth story. You can look at a photo and see the pure joy, love, and happiness. It's so thick you could slice right through it. I was more than elated when my friends texted me a couple days before their sweet girl was to arrive and asked me to document the day. I immediately packed my camera bag full of essentials and didn't sleep very well anticipating having to jump out of bed at a moments notice and rush to the hospital.
oh, be still my soul. This is only the tip top of the iceberg that had me crying. (To be fair, I have been a little more emotional lately than usual. I don't always cry when getting scans back, but I guess when they're tears of joy it's a great thing.)
Kristen was a trooper and that sweet baby girl ... it was love at first sight for everyone in the room.
